THANK YOU DETROIT!!!
The 32nd Concours d’Elegance of America at Meadow Brook turned out better then anyone could have imagined. After many years of showing the cars from the Bortz Auto Collection at various venues nothing can compare with the way that Detroit welcomed home its own 1955 Chevrolet Biscayne and the three other GM 1950’s Motorama cars from the Bortz Auto Collection! It is the first time that three General Motors Chief of Design have been at the event. Ed Welburn the current GM VP of Design, Wayne Cherry and Chuck Jordan. Both Wayne and Chuck are retired GM Chiefs of Design and they were all there to celebrate the debut of the 1955 Chevrolet Biscayne. There have only been six Chief designers in GM’s 100+ year history.
